We often say that we have no control over the use of our phones because we have no control over when someone sends something. You only have control over when and how you receive it.

Our phones nowadays have so many functions that most of us don’t even know it exists. We need stories and experiences from others to make us aware of all the functionalities we can use. We can use these functionalities to use our phones in a way that suits us.

I believe that your phone can enrich your life if you use it tactically and consciously.

When I was growing up, we had strict rules about when we were allowed to drink a soda (1 glass at special moments) or when we were allowed to watch television (from Sesamestreet to bedtime or on the weekend from waking up until our parents came downstairs) rules and because of that, I was never too long behind the TV.

The cell phone has gradually entered our lives. The degree of use first increased due to the normalization of phone plans (instead of prepaid), later due to the arrival of WhatsApp and then the data subscriptions.

Because everything went so gradually, the chances are small that you have conscious rules for your telephone use.

The most common line now is probably:

  • no phone in the bedroom

But there are many more rules to be thought of. That’s what we are going to do in this course. We will ensure that you have conscious rules for your telephone and internet use. Rules that make your life easier.
